Many weekends have been held since the last newsletter in the Fall. The members of CACS extend congratulations to all the new Cursillistas and to all those who served in the many tasks of putting on a weekend.

CACS SPRING 2006 MEETING

The meeting was held at St. Timothy's Anglican Church, Edmonton, AB., May 30 to June 1, 2006. CACS extends their thanks to the people of St. Timothy's for their hospitality, the use of their conference room, and the tasty meals they provided. Thanks also to the Edmonton Secretariat for hosting the meeting, and making all the arrangements.

The meeting began with Holy Eucharist, celebrated by The Rev'd. Alan Naylor, Rector of St. Timothy's.

The meeting was called to order by LaVerne Bernier, the Interim Chairperson. Reports were presented by Bishop Larry Robertson, (Episcopal Advisor to CACS), and by LaVerne Bernier.

Following these presentations the Diocesan Reports were presented by the CACS representative for each Diocese. Points to be addressed by CACS were noted and will be followed up by the Diocesan Reps. Changes to the Diocesan Contact Lists were highlighted and will be changed.

LaVerne informed CACS that the new, updated copies of the NEC Library and the Lay Talk Workbooks are now available and can be purchased from CACS. (Contact your Diocesan Rep. for details).

Other items of business dealt with were things such as the Financial Report, Proposed Budget, etc. The web site is operating quite well and a new Webmaster will be appointed by the incoming CACS in the near future.

The remainder of the meeting dealt with the preparations for the upcoming Triennial Conference and General Meeting.
